Race Report
Summer Series finale. A very damp start to the day as the heavens opened early morning before racing started. Racing commenced with the drivers struggling to get traction on very wet astro. The gods were kind to us as the rain stopped and the track started to get a little dryer. 4 rounds of heats later and the final listings were decided. The 15 minute B Final was a very well run race with lots of position changes and some good clean racing. Bumping through to the A final was 1st Jack Longdon,2nd Kyle Ward-Taylor and 3rd young Lewis Bell with his first ever bump up. Lewis also won a special award for most improved driver of the series. The 30 minute A Final had some of the best, quickest racing weve seen for a while with Kieran Cox leading the way with some excellent driving for the whole race. 2nd and 3rd was a great battle between Ian Mellish, Lee Maggs and Liam Brocklehurst final being decided 1st Kieran Cox 2nd Ian Mellish and 3rd Liam Brocklehurst. In the Ebuggy it was Lewis Marshall taking 1st James Lawrence in 2nd and Andrew Lappin 3rd. So the Summer Series final placing were now decided and first Ebuggy taking 1st place was Lewis Marshall 2nd place Paul Fyfe and in 3rd James Lawrence. Nitro Buggy final placing Freddie Thompson taking a very well deserved 1st place after completing 3 out of the 5 legs and achieving 301 points. (Trophy collected by Jono Johnson). 2nd place Lee Maggs and 3rd was Liam Brocklehurst. The NDOR team would like to thank ALL drivers and pit crew for attending throughout the series and making NDOR the great venue that it is. Special thanks to NDOR Committee, Trevor Baker for race director, and George Holl and Donna Maggs for the cafe. Thanks to sponsors #georgescafendor #pbmracing #skelectricalcontractors #robowatch We couldn't do it without you Next race at NDOR is the 1st leg of our East Midland Astro Series on the 6th October. See you all there
New Track Layout 15/5/2019
NDOR has a new track layout making the track faster and better flow. We are also now starting to replace all of the old track marker pipes for new to make things better. Come on down and have a go at the new layout.
Maintenance Day 12th January 2019
Our Maintenance Day went well with 11 committed people turning ready to work. The missing roof section of the rostrum has been replaced and is now weather proof again. The area outside the track office has been ripped up and a new layer of hardcore put down for better drainage. Some of the worst break ripples in the astro track have been flattened out. The floor on the rostrum has been repaired to make it safer.
Most of all though we can now announce that our 1:10 scale shortened track has been made with a small jump through cutting out the hardest part of the track while not altering the 1:8 scale raceway and race line.

EMAS Round 2
Neil Cragg dominates Nitro Buggy and Daniel Austin dominates Electric Buggy in the second round of the EMAS series at NDOR.
On a cold morning 43 drivers arrive at NDOR in the East Midlands for the second round of the EMAS series. This series is a joint venture between two clubs. Deerdale Off Road and NDOR (Notts & Derby Off Road) A local series for local drivers
The days racing consisted of a round of practice and then three rounds of qualifying. The standard of driving at the top was very good. Kieran Cox was out there and doing some very impressive laps. His new Xray was planted! Very impressive driving from the young driver. Equally impressive was Neil Cragg who was driving very well and making everyone else look slow.    With five heats a round we didn’t stop or pause throughout the qualifying process. I was working along side the NDOR Chairman Darrell as he was running the meeting and learning how to at the same time with my help obviously.
During the final round of qualifying we saw some amazing times and laps going in. The lap record was broken again by Kieran Cox. The lap was 36.32  In this same heat we saw Neil Cragg break the race record for a seven minute heat with a time of 12/7m 37.38 Best lap of 37.36 and an average of 38.12 Some brilliant consistent racing from all drivers.
During the lunch break we had a few drivers drop out with issues. One being a E-Buggy LiPo fire which was dealt with quickly. What a smell that made!
After the lunch break we embarked on the finals. There were 5 finals to run. 3 Nitro Buggy and only a single Electric Buggy final.     The Nitro C Buggy Final was the first one on the line which started just before half past 2 in the afternoon.  This final was a 15 minute final like all finals in this series. First place was taken by Deerdale Committee member Jonathan Weldon, Second place was NDOR driver Chris Easterbrook or The Basher as we know him. The guy we all know from Rc Gamez Robert Stevenson took third place. The top 3 was promoted to the B Final.     The next race on the line was the E-Buggy final. A good race for all. I set myself a goal and that was to beat Si Cummins which I did. I finished where I started which was happy with. But thats enough about me. Dan Austin took the win a entire lap in front of the rest of field. David Cordentook second place. Matt Bridge from RacePaceRC took third place overall.  The B Final was the next race to the line.     The second to last final of the day. Micheal Lightfoot took the win. Young Freddie Thompson took second place. Finally Harvey Ward took third place.  These drivers were promoted to the A Final which was the last final of the day. Don't have a photo of these unfortuately     Well what can i say about the A Final. Was an inten
